Demystifying Cesarean Birth with Beth Scheppke
In this focused session led by a certified birth doula, you’ll hear why a cesarean birth may be an option. You’ll be given tools for processing a change in birth plan and ways to to support your heart, mind and body for birth. Learn terms and definitions surrounding cesarean births, along with an overview of the birth procedure and options within the birth space. Hear ways you can advocate for a family-centered birth. To round out the session, you’ll hear how to support recovery post-cesarean and ways to support lactation and the feeding dyad post-cesarean.

MEET BETH
Beth Scheppke (she/her/hers) is a Certified Birth Doula (CHB), Full Spectrum Doula (Cornerstone), Hypnobirthing Doula (HBNY), Lactation Consultant and Childbirth Educator (DTI) based in Brooklyn, NY. By providing non-judgmental birth coaching, space holding techniques, an abundance of vetted resources and a sense of humor, Beth's goal is for her clients to feel joyfully supported, seen, and empowered throughout their birth and postpartum experience. As a service industry veteran and an all-around people person, Beth is drawn to the work for the genuine connections she makes with her clients and strives to improve birthing experiences and outcomes for families of all kinds.
